Management and Nursing Care of High-Risk Obstetric Clients
by Nursing CE Catalog
Whereas many women experience uncomplicated pregnancies and childbirth, complications can develop at any point in the pregnancy, labor and delivery, or postpartum period. These complications can lead to serious illness, injury, and even death for the pregnant woman and her baby.

Identifying common medical and obstetric conditions that place the client and fetus at increased risk for morbidity and mortality is essential in developing a plan of care and achieving optimal outcomes.

The purpose/goal of this course is to provide an overview and treatment guidelines for some of the common conditions that place mother and fetus at risk.
