It will also review accessory muscle use and potential causes for various adventitious lung sounds. Course Objectives:Describe the basic anatomy and physiology of the infant respiratory system Describe the typical and atypical findings in the infant respiratory assessment Differentiate the various types of accessory muscle use Differentiate the following adventitious lung sounds: crackles or rales, wheezes, rhonchi, and stridor This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. DISCLOSURES Criteria for successful completion includes a passing score of 70% on the post-test offered at the end of this course.
