Contact Hours: 1.0 Course Description: General Survey and Vital Signs discusses respirations, blood pressure, pulse, skin assessment, and capillary refill. Organization tips, the components of proper preparation, and normal parameters for adult vital signs are also described. Course Objectives:Describe organization tips and how to properly prepare for the general survey
Discuss components of the general survey and vital signs, including respirations, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, skin assessment and capillary refill
Define the normal parameters for adult vital signs
Explain methods used to distinguish normal and abnormal findings in the general skin assessment and capillary refill This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
