Contact Hours: 1.9 Course Description: This module includes a brief overview of various end of life issues, along with patient and caregiver resources. It also identifies common ethical dilemmas and differentiates curative and palliative care. Course Objectives:Identify ethical dilemmas commonly experienced by healthcare personnel when caring for patients at the end of life Discuss resources available to caregivers of patients nearing the end of life Characterize eligibility criteria for end-of-life resources Differentiate curative and palliative care This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. DISCLOSURES Criteria for successful completion includes a passing score of 70% on the post-test offered at the end of this course. A Certificate of Completion will be issued to all those who pass the post-test.
