Contact Hours: 1.5 Course Description: This module provides an overview of antiarrhythmic medications, including their indications, side effects, treatment goals, and contraindications. Course Objectives:Briefly describe arrhythmias and the goals of treatment
Describe the indications, treatment goals, side effects/adverse reactions, and contraindications for the following types of antiarrhythmics: beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, sodium channel blockers, amiodarone, and digoxin
Describe the symptoms associated with digoxin toxicity This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
