Contact Hours: 2.8Course Description: This course expands on the PAD/ABI module and provides the learner a review of peripheral artery disease (PAD), as well as a more in-depth discussion about the clinical presentation, diagnosis, medical, endovascular and surgical management of PAD. Course Objectives: Discuss lower extremity arterial anatomy
Define peripheral artery disease (PAD)
List both the modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease
Explain the Rutherford classification of PAD
Describe the clinical findings of PAD
Discuss the various diagnostic tests for PAD
Define the treatment modalities of PAD to include medical, endovascular and surgical management
