Contact Hours: 1.2 Course Description: This module includes a brief overview of documentation and reporting. It differentiates various documentation methods, explains the role of forms in documenting the nursing process, and describes the communication process during the patient report. Also discussed are the guidelines in meeting legal and ethical standards while reporting and documenting. Course Objectives:Differentiate documentation methods in various settings

Identify and discuss guidelines in meeting legal and ethical standards in regards to reporting and documenting This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. DISCLOSURES Criteria for successful completion includes a passing score of 70% on the post-test offered at the end of this course.
