Contact Hours: 1.0 Course Description: This module provides an overview of other common causes of chest pain, including (but not limited to) those that are non-cardiac in nature. Course Objectives:Differentiate non-cardiac causes of chest pain, including pulmonary embolus, pericarditis, heart valve anomalies, pneumonia, musculoskeletal chest wall pain, chest trauma, GERD, pancreatitis, GI pain, drug abuse and anxiety
Describe the symptoms associated with each cause of chest pain This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
