Contact Hours: 1.0 Course Description: This module provides an overview of cardiac interventions and tests, including electrocardiograms, treadmill stress testing, echocardiograms, enzyme measurement, myoviews, and much more. Course Objectives:Differentiate electrocardiograms, treadmill stress testing, and echocardiograms
Describe how elevated cardiac enzyme measurements indicate heart damage
Discuss the importance of troponin testing in diagnosing and monitoring cardiac damage
Describe how CBC, CRP, and homocysteine blood levels may be helpful in diagnosing cardiac damage
Briefly discuss the use of CT scans, MRIs, and stress myoviews in diagnosing the extent of cardiac damage
Explain how cardiac catheterization works
