If you include the wrong things you may find you won&#8217;t be offered the job. You don&#8217;t want to include things that may cause potential employers to see fault in you or your abilities.</p>
<p>Here are the things you don&#8217;t want to include on your resume.</p>
<p>1. Personal information about yourself is not necessary. Businesses are not allowed to hire people based on their age, sex, height, or weight, so it&#8217;s not a good idea to add those things to your resume.</p>
<p>2. It&#8217;s not a good idea to list the reason you don&#8217;t have past jobs. It doesn&#8217;t matter if you were fired, quit, or were laid off, it&#8217;s best to explain why you don&#8217;t work for these places any longer. This gives you the ability to explain things that you can&#8217;t explain on your resume so you&#8217;ll have the ability to share this information during an interview.</p>
<p>3. While there is nothing wrong with listing your references on your resume, it may not always be a good idea. Some businesses require non-related references while others don&#8217;t care, so it&#8217;s best to have this knowledge ahead of time. This gives you the ability to be prepared for the type of references they want to have from potential employees.</p>
<p>4. Listing certificates or degrees is a good idea when you&#8217;re applying for jobs that are within the area you studied, but it&#8217;s never a good idea to include ones you&#8217;re working on, have worked on in the past, or haven&#8217;t studied at all. It&#8217;s never a good idea to tell potential employers you&#8217;re qualified when you&#8217;re not. It&#8217;s ok to tell them you&#8217;re in the process of studying for them, but don&#8217;t tell them you&#8217;re done until you are finished.</p>
<p>Your resume is one of the most important things you can have with you when you apply or interview for jobs. When you use these suggestions you&#8217;ll write a resume that&#8217;ll make you look the best you can look. You&#8217;ll shine when these people read what you can do for them and how you can help them make the most of their business. It&#8217;s important to remember you should only include the things that are important to work and not personal information that may or may not harm your chances.</p>

This may be just what you need to start the process to get ahead.</p>
<p>Once you decide it&#8217;s time to go back to school, planning is going to be the most important thing you can do for yourself and your family. It doesn&#8217;t mean you won&#8217;t have stress, but it&#8217;ll be less than if you don&#8217;t plan. Here are a few things you can do to plan and have success with school.</p>
<p>One of the hardest things to handle when you go to school, whether it&#8217;s full time or part time, is working a job at the same time. Working all day and then going to school can be a challenge; especially when you have homework to do in the middle of everything else. This is why you must plan accordingly. You may need to do homework on your lunch hour or take the weekends to do it. The important thing is to schedule time to get your homework done so you don&#8217;t stress when assignments are due.</p>
<p>Housework and other chores can also cause problems when it comes to school. Finding time to work, do your school work, and clean the house may be just too much. If you find this is happening to you, it&#8217;s time to either ask your family to help or hire someone to come in and clean your home for you. When you find a way to get everything done and have time to relax you&#8217;ll see it can be done.</p>
<p>Going back to school may be just what you need to advance your career and increase your monthly income. Even though it&#8217;ll be a lot of work, it will be worth it when you see the end result. <p>2. The paper you use is also important. You need to use white 81/2 x 11 paper rather than colored legal sized paper. You may think colored paper will make you stand out and while that&#8217;s true, it may also hurt the eyes and that could cause them to avoid looking at it.</p>
<p>3. Your contact information is very important as well. If you don&#8217;t list your address, phone number, and email the employer you send your resume to won&#8217;t have the ability to contact you for the job interview or to offer the job.</p>
<p>4. Your references are also important when you&#8217;re looking for a job. You don&#8217;t want to add them to the main part of your resume as that can make it really long. It&#8217;s better to add a note at the bottom and use a separate page to list them.</p>

Most of these companies have rules you must follow in order to receive the funds. Most require at least a C in the class, some require the class you take to be related to your current job or one that the company offers within, and some say you must work for the company for so many years after it&#8217;s paid or you must pay part or all of it back.<br />
If you&#8217;re debating on offering funds to your employees, there are a couple of questions you must ask yourself. Once you have the answers you&#8217;ll know if it&#8217;s going to work for you to offer this kind of assistance to your employees.</p>
<p>1.	Do you have the funds in your budget to cover the cost of these classes?</p>
<p>2.	Are there classes available to help your employees with their job or is your company unique in what you do and classes aren&#8217;t available?</p>
<p>3.	Do your job descriptions require a college education to begin with?</p>
<p>If you answered yes to these questions then you need to decide if you&#8217;re going to make this option available. If you answered no, then you answer is in black and white and should be no. If you answered yes, then you need to create a policy so all employees are given equal opportunities to make this happen. Creating this policy is a must because the alternative is not something you want to deal with, so it&#8217;s best to avoid it from the beginning.</p>
<p>Your policy needs to include a dollar limit or class limit if you&#8217;re going to have one. This is important because some people want the schooling so bad they may be willing to take a full load to get the degree they want and that could cost you upwards of $1000 or more depending on the school in your local area. If money is an option, you may want to either set a specific amount you&#8217;ll cover or a certain number of classes a semester or year.</p>
<p>Your policy also needs to include study time. If you&#8217;re going to allow your employees to study on the job or not study you need to include that. You don&#8217;t want to allow one person, but not the other. If you&#8217;re going to allow them to study or do homework during their day, you may want to set a time limit or that it&#8217;s only allowed if approved by the supervisor first.</p>
<p>One last thing you must include in your policy is the payment. Are you going to pay for the classes up front or will you require a report card to pay? Will you have grade requirements or will you pay regardless of what they receive? And, will you make them stay with you for a certain length of time or will you make them pay you back based on how long it&#8217;s been since the payment was made? This is important because you want your employees to do the best they can, but if they&#8217;re not focused or if they really don&#8217;t want to take it, this may wake them up and help them make the right choice.</p>
<p>Paying for the education of your employees may be a good thing or it may not be. When you take these questions into consideration you&#8217;ll know if you need to create a policy for them or if you&#8217;re going to make them pay for it regardless. Creating a policy is not that hard to do and when you must refer to it, you&#8217;ll be glad you did.</p>

<p>Money is the most common morale booster. People work to pay the bills, buy essentials, buy nice things for the family, go on vacation, and more. If the income isn’t sufficient to meet the need, it can cause low morale and added stress. Offering opportunities for advancement, financial bonuses, pay raises and promotions when deserved, will help keep your employees motivated to perform at the peak.</p>
<p>All jobs can be boring at times. Some are naturally more boring than others. But there are ways to make almost any job more interesting. Provide challenges for your staff. If they feel they&#8217;re being pushed to learn more and do new things, they’ll enjoy better job satisfaction. <p>Set up an employee recognition program and publicly reward people for their achievements. You can use certificates, plaques or even financial bonuses for specific achievements. Employees are often motivated by the appeal of being appreciated and rewarded for their efforts both publicly and privately.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Even if you enjoy your work and you&#8217;re doing a job you love, it&#8217;s sometimes hard to be as productive as you&#8217;d like. It may be that you&#8217;re tired of the daily grind, that you&#8217;re ready for a company change, or that you just need a vacation. But when your productivity and focus begin to suffer, here are some simple ways to keep yourself motivated enough to complete your required tasks until you get back to the place where work is fun again.</p>
<p>ï Set realistic goals and track your progress. Eliminate tasks that don&#8217;t have to be done and choose the ones that must be. Make a to-do list and check off each item as you complete it. Marking off finished tasks will give you a sense of accomplishment that can fuel additional work.</p>
<p>ï Finish the most unpleasant tasks first. Make it a habit to complete the jobs you like the least before you do anything else. This will alleviate the sense of dread that often accompanies such jobs and make for a good start to your day.</p>
<p>ï Block out periods of time to work on a large task. Don&#8217;t worry about completing the entire job, but set aside a few minutes at a time to do one portion of a task that seems overwhelming. Buried in papers to file? Set aside 10 minutes to file and then stop. You&#8217;ll feel more productive as you see the pile dwindle and know you&#8217;re accomplishing something that needs to be done.</p>
<p>ï Set a timer. This will help you fulfill your 10 minute goal and will give you a more realistic image of how you actually spend your time. It may be that you&#8217;ve underestimated how long a task should take. Timing yourself will give you a clearer picture and allow you to readjust your thinking, and your schedule, if needed.</p>
<p>ï Reward yourself. This could be something as simple as a 15 minute break, or a cappuccino. But promise yourself that you&#8217;ll receive a reward upon completion of a task, then follow through and do what you promised.</p>
<p>ï Take a online course in time management. While you may already know some of the concepts, you&#8217;re almost certain to learn something new that you can use to boost your productivity.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s sometimes difficult to stay motivated and productive, but these simple tips can help you do so with little changes that can make a huge difference in the amount of work you can accomplish in a day, or a week.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In today&#8217;s competitive job market, more than ever before, a job-winning resume is essential to finding employment. Acing the interview is great, and necessary. But if your resume doesn&#8217;t get you in the door, the interview will never take place. Use the ten tips to create a resume that will give a prospective employer a positive impression of you and your skills and your chances of getting hired will increase dramatically.</p>
<p><strong>1. Keep it short.</strong> No resume should go over two pages, and one is better. If you have a long list of employment history or education, summarize it rather than listing every line item. Listing the last 10 years of employment history is adequate, especially if you&#8217;ve worked in the same field for some time.</p>
<p><strong>2. List your skills first.</strong> Many job applicants place their education at the top of a resume, but your skills are what a hiring manager or human resources (HR) employee is really looking for. List them at the top so they&#8217;re easy to find and so they can attract more attention than they might if they&#8217;re slipped in at the bottom or middle of the page.<span id="more-1587"></span></p>
<p><strong>3. Eliminate spelling and <a title="Grammar" href="http://www.coursepark.com/course/market/page/1/tab/tab_search?query=Grammar" target="_blank">grammar</a> mistakes, typos and other errors.</strong> Proofread your resume as many times as it takes to eliminate common errors. Have someone else look it over for you. Read it backwards if you find yourself overlooking mistakes. Typos and other errors are embarrassing at the least, and can truly cost you a job. Diligently check your resume for errors, and then check it again before submission.</p>
<p><strong>4. List your education last.</strong> While education is important, it&#8217;s not the most important aspect of a resume. That&#8217;s why adding it at the bottom where a prospective employer can see it is good. But placing it at the time to give it first priority isn&#8217;t necessary.</p>
<p><strong>5. Drop the summary and objective. </strong>A summary of your resume and an objective stating what you hope to accomplish are passé and unnecessary. A hiring manager will know the job you&#8217;re interested in because of your cover letter. There&#8217;s no need to repeat it on the resume.</p>
<p><strong>6. Include a detailed job history.</strong> While you don&#8217;t need to document your employment history beyond the last 10 years or so, clearly note where you have worked, when and for how long, and what you did there. If you&#8217;ve held an excessive number of short-term jobs, you may want to add a reason for leaving, or if the position was temporary, be sure to add that information as well.</p>
<p><strong>7. Don&#8217;t include unnecessary information.</strong> Your age, marital status, religion, or anything else a hiring manager or HR employee is not allowed to ask does not belong on your resume.  This might even cause speculation about your maturity level since it&#8217;s fairly common knowledge that such topics are illegal for a hiring manager to discuss.</p>
<p><strong>8. Pay attention to the format.</strong> The layout and format of your resume is important. Use a standard font such as Arial or Times Roman and a standard size for the best readability, 10 or 12 points is idea. While you may think a format or handwriting font looks impressive, it makes it much more difficult to read, which can be annoying to someone who&#8217;s sifting through 50 resumes.</p>
<p><strong>9. Add whitespace to make the resume easier to read.</strong> No one likes to pick up a document that is so covered with text they can&#8217;t tell where it ends. This is especially true of hiring managers and HR personnel. Leave enough white space on your resume to make it reader-friendly without leaving out important information or details.</p>
<p><strong>10. Keep it clean.</strong> Not only in the sense of language (profanity of any type is a huge no-no), but also keep your resume free from smudges, dirt, coffee spills and grime. You will most likely create your resume on a computer so you can easily print a new copy at a moment&#8217;s notice. Do so to ensure every copy you distribute is pristine.</p>
<p>Your resume is what sells you to a prospective employer. Make it the best you can by ensuring it&#8217;s properly written and formatted, and includes the information necessary to highlight your job skills and experience in the brightest light possible. Doing so can make the difference in a resume that wins you a job, or one that is tossed aside in favor of another applicant.</p>
