While online marketing your business is very important and something you should do on a daily basis, it’s not the only form of marketing you should use. Offline marketing is also important because there are still people that don’t use a computer to search for what they’re looking for.
The summer months are perfect for offline marketing and the main reason is because people are outside and they tend to travel more in the summer than any other season. With that said it’s a good idea to find ways to market your business offline. Here are a few suggestions for you to consider.
1. Parade
Most communities have a fair during the summer and they often times have a parade to start the festivities off. Participating in the parade is a great way to put your business in front of the people in your community. To do this form of marketing you can include a float, walk the parade route and hand out flyers, or you can sponsor the parade itself.
2. Newspapers
Marketing your business in a local newspaper can be very beneficial if your market reads the paper. It can also be very pricy to do that form of marketing so you must be careful not to drain all of your marketing funds on this type.
3. Sporting
EventsĀ If you have a local baseball team that offers sponsorships or if your local high school allows for sponsorships, this is a good way to market your business. You need to be careful with these options though because you don’t want to waste money if it’s not aimed at your market.
4. Vehicle
Placing decals on your vehicle is a good way to market your business no matter where you go. You need to place them so people can see them while you’re stopped at a stop light or while they wait for traffic. It’s also important to pull your vehicle into spots where your decal is noticeable. For example if you place it on the back of your vehicle and you back into a spot it’s not going to be visible for those that walk or drive by.
There are many other ways to market your business offline. The important thing to do is find things that work for your business and then continue to use them time and time again. When you do this you’ll find your local business will grow as well.
