Online PromotionThe 2011 Annual HR Technology Conference and Expo introduced a number of cool new HR Technology resources to the people in attendance. These are just a few that will be very useful.

TWEETMYJOBS has an application called Who Do You Know that’s available as a Facebook app. It utilizes information from the job seeker’s social profile to check to see if there are any personal connections between them and the company. If there is, the employer can request a referral. This increases the possibility of the applicant being considered for a position and decreases the time needed to fill an opening.

CORNERSTONE ONDEMAND is introducing specific software to help companies assess employees all year round instead of only during an annual appraisal. This can include project-based reviews and feedback from external and internal reviewers all the time. Systems will also allow companies to provide less formal methods of peer-based feedback and employee appreciation on a regular basis.

FOTOPUNCH enables advanced use of mobile phones to track employee attendance recording through cloud-based, geolocated, biometric technology. Facial recognition software is also integrated into this system, making it a very secure solution that can be tracked from anywhere.

GLASSDOOR is an employment site employers and job seekers alike can access. Over 5 million people visit the site each month. If you combine their Facebook app for employers with the enhanced profile that employers can have, companies can advertise their job vacancies and know they’ll be seen by thousands more potential candidates.

HIRERIGHT is geared towards mobile device users with its new Applicant Center Mobile app. Candidates can check the status of job applications and respond faster to requests for information. This means screening is done faster and positions may be filled more quickly as well.

JOBVITE introduced its Candidate Search Technology. Employers can use this system to search hundreds of paid and free resumes within a single intuitive interface. They added Google+ to the other social networking sites that were previously supported. This means employers can run comparisons between potential new employees from different sources and find the most suitable new recruit.

RESOOMAY lets recruiters assess possible candidates by letting them submit role-specific interview questions via video. Recruiters review this extra information which helps them make a better choice from the applications that have been received. Recruiters can also learn where people live by using social media sites to advertise jobs and analyze the applications being submitted.

IMAGETREND’s latest addition is their HireTouch 360. This software contains 360? peer reviews and management evaluations to assist companies to maximize their workforce. The reports provide overviews of individual employee performance over a period of time but can also provide department and/or company-wide performance evaluations as part of a Web-based solution. You can have this as a product on its own or along with the HireTouch Applicant Tracking System.

These cool new HR technology resources are only a few of the available resources that were a part of the HR Expo. There are some great possibilities on this list and many more becoming available.
