How many of you remember working before there were computers? How many of you remember those days that you didn’t have to check your email 24×7 on an obscene number of devices (laptop, blackberry, iPhone, iPad, iPod, etc.)? How many of you remember the days before MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.? Now ask yourself, is your company behind because it sees Facebook/Twitter as a waste of company time?

Does social media have a place within your company? Or are you thinking that Facebook and Twitter can never be a valuable tool that you can use. I think we’re only beginning to see the tip of the iceberg for social media being introduced into the work place. Facebook and Twitter will soon become important parts of the business environment, along with LinkedIn and other social media tools that haven’t even been thought of or developed yet.
